Winter time in da U.P.

Its setting in

· Fishing Reports

With some snow storms in our future and temperatures dropping, it's like winter in MichigansU.P.!

With the storms coming it's a great time to get out for a few hours as these fish will put the food bag on as the storms approach and the barometric pressure starts to shift.

As the pressure drops right in front of a storm front the fish will tend to get very active as nature knows a storm is coming and it's time to prepare. This can be a great time to swing a fly for a large lake-run brown trout or a bright silvery steelhead and let's not forget that we still have some fantastic trout fishing to be had as well.

Be sure to get out while you can, though as with winter approaching, our temperatures will plummet, and even though it's hard to freeze a river (moving water), it does happen occasionally.
