Fishing Report - Rain dance time for trout streams

· Fishing Reports

If anybody out there has a secret raindance now's the time to do it!
One would think that as the summer winds down cooler temperatures and some rain would prevail.

Well that's a big wrong answer! As we've been seeing temperatures in the mid 80s and low 90s and very little moisture the dog days of summer are definitely upon us.
Although it is quite warm and water is dwindling trout fishing is still doing fairly well. You can sneak off into the tributaries which are running cool or when fishing the big rivers go in late in the evening or early in the morning as they are still cooling down into the high 50s and low 60s at night.

Our last big hatch the Ephron is going on right now, it started a bit early this year. With that being said don't forget that we will have plenty of later season Caddis hatches along with bwos and streamer fishing will as always be good.

Until next time may God bless you and be safe!
