Fishing Report - Choices...trout streams, smallmouth or steelhead
This time of the year in the U.P. are full of them, choices that is!
Right now as Im typing this the fall run fish are on the move (cohos, lake run browns, steelhead, kings and pinks) and as it is a bit early for a few I have already witnessed all of these this year!
The fall streamer action on the trout streams for the resident fish is also absolutely cracking right now. There are a variety of streamers that are working well right now for the resident trout and they are the circus peanut, zoo cougar and D&D to name my staples for ya. With the water levels bordering on the high side I have also been using full sinking lines.
As for whats working for the lake run fish well to be frank EVERYTHING!
From swinging flies, centerpinners with a gob of spawn , nymphing and bottom bouncing to those casting raps and spoons it is all producing!
Bottom line being this you have a ton of choices right now as to what your quarry will be soooo make a decision and get out there and ENJOY!
Before you know it the SNOW will be flying!
Until next time GOD BLESS and be safe!
