Here in Michigan's Upper Peninsula we push through the long cold winters looking forward to these wonderful months of long summer days and throwing dries. Summer always seems to come to a close faster than we'd like.
This doesn't mean that the fly fishing is over though. We're fortunate our home water is open for trout year round (if you can stomach throwing on some extra layers and deal with wind and some sideways rain and even snow). Hit us up if you need to scratch that trout itch before the end of the year.
The streamer fishing has been great, and if you are lucky a warm fall evening comes along with some fun late-season hatches consisting of caddis and bwos. Until next time have a great day and don't let the final days of the trout season slip by you!
