The leaves are dropping, the temperature is falling and snow is in the forecast! Yes that is fly fishing in the Upper Peninsula! Right now steelhead, salmon and browns are moving around a bit but the runs so far this year in the south central region have not been anything to jump up and down about, as a matter of fact sometimes it seems as if there are more people than fish!
For myself a die hard swinger and part-time nympher its been slow to start but for my business/guide partner his game has been a bit more hands on as the nymphing game has been treating him ok.
Water temps are hovering in the low 40s with much colder air temps and snow in the forecast!
Jason's luck has been coming on the egg patterns and beads rolled slow under the indicator and I wish I had a certain fly that was killing it but as I said my swing game is sloooow!
Until next time God bless and stay safe!
